Automobile engine's water temperature:

Automobile water temperature sensor is installed on the water jacket of the engine cylinder block or head which contacts directly with the cooling water . Then the temperature of the engine cooling water is detected . NTC thermistor is the core component of automobile water temperature sensor, the lower the temperature， the bigger the resistance ; conversely， the smaller the resistance. The electronic control unit (ECU) detects the temperature of engine cooling water according to this change which is used as the correction number of fuel injection and ignition.
